This tutu is inspired by the rendering by Gregg Barnes and his design for Cinderella. This is the Tiara Fairy. The tutu is 13 layers of net and tulle all pleated by hand. Rows 7-9 are dip dyed blue on one end and gold leafed on the other end. The tutu and bodice are all appliquéd and beaded by hand. The blue feathers are silk organza that has been dyed, shredded, and then the spine gold leafed. All tutu fabric and the gold bodice fabric are from Mood Fabrics . The beautiful blue silk dupioni used on the top band of the bodice and swag with a big bow is from Silk Baron. Beautiful beads from Crystal Bead Bizarre in Pittsburgh, PA. Wings and Tiara are hand shaped sprung steel wire. The wings have fabric stretched over the frame and then hundreds of individually placed rhinestones glued on by hand. The tiara is beaded and wire shaped by hand and then wrapped and horsehair applied for a snug fit to the head.
