Inspired by traditional peony tattoos. Found design online and mapped out layout on silk. Traced out the pattern and applied resist on top of silk on traced lines. Used Dupont silk paint and delicately applied paint making sure to not flood the area and go past the resist line. Custom mixed colors with others and used diluent to get paler colors. Ombré blended leaves and flower petals pushing water and color together. Painted black background and applied salt for texture effect. Steamed for one hour. Rinsed resist out, air dried, and pressed neatly.
