We were given multiple extant garments and had to choose one and do research on when it was constructed as well as the steps that it went through to be sewn together. We were given heavy weight organza to lay down over the garment and lift patterns off of it. To see seam lines through the organza I traced lines with my pins in order to see where things were and then I traced over that onto the organza with my pencil. I lifted every pattern piece this way and then took it to paper to true up. The final pattern can be seen below in addition to photos of my 1880’s long sleeve, pleated front bodice that I chose to do. I have added my research in the slideshow as to the history of the garment, how it was put together, research photos, and some special facts about the garment
